2014 Kick off meeting!!!
Wow! I can't believe its been 3 years since we started our little Book Club! We've had such a fun time and have met and gotten to be friends with so many over the years.
January started off with our first meeting at Carries house. We had our own little POWWOW! Everyone came dressed as either Native Americans or another character from the book.
We read 1,000 White Women. It was the first Native American book Ive ever read and although it was fictional still helped open my eyes to what life might have been like for them back then.
Angela is hosting Februarys meeting and has picked, These is my words by Nancy E. Turner
Happy Reading :)

It was such a fantastic book and we all agreed that it would make a wonderful movie!!! We met at the Bay Leaf Restaurant in Downtown New Bern. Its a new place, its Indian food and it was soooo DELICIOUS!!! I don't think anyone left hungry :)

Jenni's Tea Party
We got to have a meeting that included facials and massages! Jenni put together the cutest "Tea Party" themed meeting. Even though we were a much smaller group and missed the rest of the BC Ladies, it was still a nice relaxing meeting with yummy food and great conversation.

August's Book Club Meeting; The Light Between Oceans
Hey Girls! I hope you all enjoy my book club pick for August. It has received four of five stars and over 46,000 ratings. I have not personally read the book before, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity after reading the synopsis online; "The Light Between Oceans is exquisite and unforgettable, a deeply moving novel". I haven't set a date / time / and place for the upcoming book club meeting, but plans are underway! I will keep you all posted :)
